Af­ter decades of serv­ing as Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor and part­ner of DVV Me­dia Group and on the oc­ca­sion of his 80th birth­day, Dr. Hel­mut Schachen­may­er has de­cid­ed to re­tire from the firm’s group of part­ners. On Ju­ly 31, 2013, the Rheinis­che Post Me­di­en­gruppe ac­quired his shares and the shares of the for­mer man­ag­ing part­ner, Dr. Di­eter Flech­sen­berg­er (62), who ac­cord­ing to plan has now left the man­age­ment of the pub­lish­ing house, but will con­tin­ue to pro­vide con­sult­ing ser­vices.

Mar­tin We­ber (46), who has been Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor of the DVV Me­dia Group since Jan­uary 2012, will con­tin­ue to re­main the firm’s head.

Patrick Lud­wig, Deputy Chair­man of the Board of the Rheinis­che Post Me­di­en­gruppe, of­fers his thanks to Hel­mut Schachen­may­er and Di­eter Flech­sen­berg­er for the high lev­el of trust and co­op­er­a­tion that they have shared. “With the ac­qui­si­tion of the re­main­ing shares of the DVV Me­dia Group, our group can now con­tin­ue to fol­low its course of in­ten­tion­al­ly de­vel­op­ing a suc­cess­ful trade me­dia seg­ment, which that we be­gan in 2009. I look for­ward to work­ing with Mar­tin We­ber and his team.”

Ac­qui­si­tion of the shares is sub­ject to ap­proval by the Ger­man car­tel au­thor­i­ties.
