The globalization of world markets continues to spur demand for world trade data and analytics. GTI provides trade data at a specific product level from all major world markets through a combination of data, analytics and platform functionality to enable its customers to make informed policy, trading and marketing decisions. GTI’s Global Trade Atlas ® – the premier market intelligence tool for international trade statistics – offers detailed information covering more than 90 percent of international world trade.
“The addition of GTI supports the IHS Maritime and trade strategy of building integrated workflow solutions that target critical industry needs related to global trade,” said Scott Key, IHS president and CEO.
“Global trade flow drives demand for our core IHS industries,” Key said. “With Global Trade Atlas, a fully web-based system, IHS will have detailed information on all commodities and other cargo types down to a highly granular level. Combining this valuable GTI trade data with existing IHS capabilities will enable us to create new value for our government and industry customers engaged in global trade.”
