i2i Events Group is organising 10 launch events across key growth markets and sectors for 2013 and early 2014, as it continues with its plans for international growth and develops its strategy of geo-cloning established events.
First launch of 2013 in Abu Dhabi
The first of the new launches for 2013 was the inaugural Patient Safety & Quality Congress Middle East which took place in Abu Dhabi from 24 – 27 March 2013. This event drew on i2i’s years of experience and knowledge in organising Europe’s premier patient safety event, Patient Safety Congress, and created a unique gathering of leading health experts from across the region and around the world. It was a key opportunity to discuss and debate regional issues and international best practice and welcomed over 60 speakers.
Three new CWIEME events hosted for the first time by i2i
Following the acquisition of the Coil Winding (CWIEME) portfolio of events in 2012, i2i has recently announced the launch of three new CWIEME events. CWIEME Bangalore will take place from 14 – 16 November 2013 at BIEC, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre and CWIEME Shanghai will take place from 3 – 5 March 2014 at the Shanghai International Exhibition Centre, INTEX. The launch of two new CWIEME events in Asia enables i2i to bring a world leading brand and an important new marketing platform to an area of huge future growth potential, as well as adding to a fast expanding portfolio. 2013 will also see i2i host CWIEME Chicago for the first time since acquisition, with the Chicago event now becoming an annual event in October.
Four new launches in Latin America confirm the region’s importance for i2i
Latin America is shaping up to be a key area of growth for i2i, providing a number of opportunities to geo-clone established events. These include the launch of RWM Brasil, Bett Latam Leadership Summit, Bett Latam and WRC Latam. RWM Brasil (Resource Efficiency and Waste Management Solutions) will take place at the Trans American Expo Center in Sao Paulo from 1 – 2 October 2013. Now in its 45th year in the UK, RWM is recognised as the most focused international event in the sector and by bringing the event to Brazil, i2i is bringing leading expertise to one of the world’s most exciting new waste management markets at a crucial time in its development.
The more recent acquisition of Educar, the leading education exhibition and congress in Latin America, has enabled i2i to strengthen its position in the Latin American market and geo-clone Bett, the world’s leading event for learning and technology, by launching Bett Latam. This event is scheduled to take place alongside Educar in 2014 and, in anticipation of the launch, the Bett Latin America Leadership Summit will take place at the Sao Paulo World Trade Center from 31 October – 1 November 2013, presenting a world-class conference programme from the world’s leading experts in the field of education technology.
World Retail Congress is already widely recognised as the pre-eminent meeting place in the retail calendar and over the last six years, has brought together over 6,200 of the retail industry’s most influential business leaders and decision makers. The launch of WRC Latin America, which will take place from 30 – 31 October 2013 at the WTC Sheraton in Sao Paulo, offers a Director-level strategic retail Congress, specific to Pan-Latin American markets and has already attracted a panel of high level names to its advisory board, including Flavio Dias, ecommerce Vice-President, Wal-Mart Brazil and Sergio Herz, CEO, Livraria Cultura, amongst others.
New WRC event for South Africa
The geo-cloning of the World Retail Congress brand is also taking i2i Events Group to South Africa, with the launch of WRC Africa from 4 – 6 November 2013 at The Maslow, Johannesburg. This ground breaking congress is a chance to engage with and learn from those steering the Pan-African and global retail industry and features a comprehensive agenda and leading speakers from organisations including Marks & Spencer, Coco-Cola, Unilever, Clicks Group and Arcadia, to name but a few.
In addition to these new events, INSIDE, the festival and global awards programme which celebrates the finest interiors from around the globe, will be relaunched this year and co-located with the World Architecture Festival (WAF) taking place from 2 – 4 October at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
