Daily Mail and General Trust has refused to rule out a sale of its newspaper titles as part of a strategic review being overseen by new chief executive Paul Zwillenberg.
In a briefing to analysts, Mr Zwillenberg, who took over six months ago, did not give details of any specific plan to sell off parts of the media group, which has interests in newspapers, business-to-business publishing, events, data and analytics. But, in response to a question about the future of the Daily Mail, Mr Zwillenberg said there were “no sacred cows” and indicated that the media group was open to offers for all its businesses.
