Aegis Media continues expanding its global footprint, this time, in its own British backyard. London-based Aegis, a unit of Tokyo-based Dentsu, this morning announced the acquisition of Scottish independent Media Vision, which will be combined with Aegis’ existing Carat Edinburgh office to form Carat Scotland.
Founded in 1997 and led by Managing Director Sue Holloway, Media Vision specializes in offline planning and buying, and digital and online advertising.
The company said its strengths are in the retail, travel and public sectors, and its “strong understanding of local business needs.”
Aegis said Media Vision has about a “quarter” share of all planning and buying of media in Scotland.
Media Vision’s Holloway has been named CEO and Carat Edinburgh’s Charlotte Bell was named managing director of Carat Scotland.
