B2B media and events firm Access Intelligence, LLC, the parent company of Folio:, announced today its acquisition of The Social Shake-Up, an annual conference and trade show serving marketing, public relations, customer experience, and social media strategists.
Held in Atlanta each May, The Social Shake-Up will be produced by Access Intelligence (AI) brand PR News in partnership with digital media brand Social Media Today, which first launched the conference in 2013. AI purchased The Social Shake-Up from Social Media Today publisher Industry Dive in an effort to strengthen its presence in the social marketing space. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Social business and digital marketing are the levers driving commerce, conversation, and reputation and there is no better brand than The Social Shake-Up to help the community move the needle in meaningful and interesting ways,” said Diane Schwartz, group publisher of the Media/Communications group at AI, in a statement.
The 2017 edition of The Social Shake-Up, set to occur May 22–24 at the W Atlanta-Midtown hotel, will feature three days of education, brainstorming, and networking aimed at showcasing creative and sustainable ways brands can leverage social media and digital marketing to drive better business outcomes.
